Last day in Stockholm! Getting a fantastic brunch to go and exploring and the market. Almost missing my flight to London and ending my summer with a traditional British dinner. Taking a look back at what a crazy summer I had.
Getting up early because I had a flight to catch and I wanted to see a bit of downtown before departure. I packed my stuff and took my bag with me. We first went to a mall across the street where Jeanette got me a roll of cheese that she said I had to take with me back to Beijing.
We then took the subway into the city center.

We started at this square, which is fruit and vegetable market during the day. It is flanked by the Stockholm Concert Hall with an interesting sculpture in front of it. From there we went downstairs to the food market and bought lunch from Hav Fisk & Catering.
We then went for a walk around and planned to have a picnic in the park.
Amateur Hour: I remembered my flight to be at 3:15 pm, so I thought I had plenty of time to catch the bus to the airport and be there before the counter closed for my flight. Fortunately Jeanette asked me again and she remembered that it was around 1 pm. When I checked my ticket, it read 13:15… Wow, that could have been an awful surprise if I went according to my plan.
Knowing I had no time left, we rushed back to the central station where I was just in time to catch the next Flybussarna coach to the airport. Jeanette and I had to settle for a picnic in the bus station, which was just as good!
I said good-bye and was off to the airport. I had some scenic views of the countryside from the bus and before I knew it, I was off in the air back to London.

London
Back in the UK, my uncle picked me up from the airport.
We went to get dinner at a local inn. They had a roast special, which was like a buffet of many different meats. It was extremely filling to say the least and washing it down with a nice warm creamy beer was a great way to complete the experience.
After dinner we headed home and I got my stuff ready for my departure tomorrow, back to Beijing.
I can’t believe how quickly that month long trip to Europe went by!

- Soaking in the sights of the city of Stockholm
Phew… a summer of crazy times, amazing people, life changing experiences, and new discoveries.
